Paul Chesley Sanford

SANFORD

Mr. Paul Chesley Sanford age 87 of Tails Creek Road, Ellijay died Friday September 7, 2012.

Mr. Sanford was born on April 30, 1925 in Gilmer Co. He is the son of the late William “Bill” Sanford and Linda Vick Sanford. He worked as a carpenter for Jim Waters, Inc. and was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by grandsons, Davey Davis and Eric Lee Southern, and son-in-law David Davis.

Survivors include: Wife: Florence Parks Sanford of the home; Daughters and son-in-law: Kathleen and Jerry Southern, Ellijay, Sherry Davis, Ellijay; Grandson: Dean Southern, Ellijay; Sister: Margie Gentry, Ellijay;

Funeral services will be held Monday September 10, 2012 at 2pm from the Crossroads Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Dotson, Rev. Eddie Kerr, and Rev. Jamie Dotson officiating. Interment will be held in the Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Sunday, September 9 from 4pm until 9pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.

Flowers or acceptable or donations may be made to the Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Jamie Dotson, 460 Crossroads Church Road, Ellijay, GA 30540.

The family requests that no food be brought to the funeral home.
