Mrs. Dorothea S. “Susie” Lindquist age 84 of Ellijay died Saturday August 4, 2012.

Mrs. Lindquist was born on January 1, 1928 in Calumet, MI. She is the daughter of the late Joseph Butala and Dorothea Gagnon Butala. She worked as a cashier in the grocery industry, was a member of Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church in Jasper, GA and a former member and officer of the XYZ Club in Ellijay, GA. She is preceded in death by her husband Eugene Lindquist.

Survivors include: Daughters & son-in-law: Zoe Ann (Lindquist) Gordon, AZ widow of Jack Gordon, Eugenie K. (Lindquist) & Joseph Conroy, VA; Son: Kyle T. Lindquist, IL; Grandchildren & spouses: Kimberly & Tom Scott, Kerry & Eric Rasinski, Kelly Shannon, Joseph, Ryan & Christopher Conroy, Kyle M. & Katherine Lindquist; Great grandchildren: William “Will” Scott Lucas & Rachael Rasinski, Dillon & Emily Shannon; Brother-in-law & sister-in-law: Jerome & LaDonna Lindquist, WI; Numerous nieces & nephews also survive

Memorial Service will be held Tuesday August 7, 2012 at 4pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Father Frank Richardson officiating.

The family will meet with friends Tuesday from 2pm until the service at 4pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday August 8, 2012 at 11am from Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church in Jasper, GA with Father Charles A. Byrd officiating.

Interment will be held Wednesday August 8, 2012 at 2:30pm from the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.

Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church @ 1908 Waleska Highway 108 Jasper, GA 30143 in memory of Mrs. Lindquist.
